Vaphit QOQ (Quartz on Quartz)

The QOQ!

In a departure from Vaphits regular stainless steel tips, Vaphit has created a new product, the Quartz on Quartz featuring an all Quartz bowl and cap. No metal near your material - offering the best flavour experience yet.

The Quartz bowl, cap and mouthpiece are connected to a Titanium housing which they easily press fit into. The glass helix mouthpiece greatly increases the distance your vapour has to travel, providing more cooling. The great thing about this kit is that it includes a 14mm male WPA (Water Pipe Adaptor) meaning you can pair this with your favourite water pieces straight out of the box.

A great feature of this device is the Titanium housing, because of the way the device is assembled you can unscrew part of the Titanium housing and remove the cap without touching the Quartz. Meaning that in between reloads you do not have to wait for any cooling down, or touch the quartz at all - meaning no more burnt fingers! The titanium housing also elevates the Quartz bowl and cap, meaning you can place the device on a surface without worrying it will burn the surface.

Usage:
The usage of the device is similar to other Vaphit Quartz devices. Preferably you want to opt for a small/medium torch. From testing we found that depending on flame size you can get optimal vapor production from about 10-25 seconds heating. Simply torch above the caps vent holes - around the area your material sits, and spin the device in hand for even heating, when the flame hitting the Quartz turns from blue to yellow its about time to inhale. You can also see the material begin to change colour. Usually as soon as you begin to see slight darkening is when it is ready to be inhaled.

The capacity is around 0.1g of ground material - you don't want to put too much in or tamp it down too much or you will restrict the airflow.

Assembly: 
Most of the QOQ kits we sell will come with the Quartz bowl separate from the housing - you must install it before first use. Unscrew the Titanium housing and very gently whilst pushing the bowl in rotate it very slowly, for a very gradual insertion. The bowl is fragile and will break if you do not take care in fitting it carefully. Some lubrication, like DynaWax or similar would help for an easier fitment.
The good news is, if you do break one a spare is included in your kit, and replacements can be purchased very cheaply.

Cleaning:
Cleaning is a breeze, break down the device and simply soak glass and Quartz pieces in 70%+ Isopropyl Alcohol. Ensure you thoroughly rinse it clean after. Alternatively you can put your glass and quartz pieces into some milk and boil it up until the pieces are clean - getting more use out of your waste with a serving of "Stem Milk"
